Anthology of Memory, mixed media installation at Hartwick College Foreman Gallery, May 2009

Bio

Emily (Abramovich) Weilburg grew up in the Berkshires and has been practicing mixed media works on paper since 2005. Soon after receiving her BA in Studio Art from Hartwick College in 2009, she installed her thesis on family history and collective memory at Epoch Assisted Living at Melbourne, located in her hometown. Although the duration of the show was short, it was extremely significant due to the emotional and cognitive impact the work had on the elder community.

Emily has been living in the Greater Boston area since 2010. She has had the opportunity to exhibit her work at various cafes throughout the city, including Pavement Coffeehouse on Boylston Street and Cafenation in Brighton. Her work continues to be inspired by travel, including Argentina, Cuba, France, and India.

Emily received her MS in Arts Administration from Boston University in 2015. She currently works in clinical research and volunteers for local arts councils. Emily continues to expand on her portfolio and wishes to build partnerships between Boston's creative and medical sectors.
